My mother is dying. She has been in the icu since yesterday. Her kidneys are failing and her lungs are a mess. Her heart stopped twice already today. They called me and when I arrived I realized I was the only one she had. Yes she wasn't a good mother. Yes, she neglected and abused me. But still she gave me life. How do you comfort someone that never nurtured you? I'm just so lost right now.

Gosh. You and your mother are in my thoughts

That is a seriously weighted question. I hope through the course of things, you find the answer you are seeking. You are a very kind and forgiving person to see past the negative to be there for your mother. My thoughts are with you.

I"m so sorry honey. I don't know the answer. I'm a woman with a living mother but living without one and I still struggle with how to go about things.

Oh how hard this must be for you. While your mother may only have you, I hope you have others who can support you through this and hopefully help you find the answer to your question. I wish I knew.

I'll be thinking of you.
